Last week, a friend and I took a little field trip to Amador County in search of some hidden treasures.
Amador County, also known as “The Heart of the Mother Lode,” is a very small county which is located in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains approximately 45 miles south of Sacramento. Although Amador lies within the Gold Country, we were not in search of gold- but instead were on the hunt for unique antiques.
The weather was perfect, we learned a lot about the history of Amador AND even had time for a little wine tasting.
